ARD documents understanding Accommodations vs Modifications

Last night attended a meeting put on the by school district that was a quick run down on how to read and understand your ARD documents –

Remember parents – call your child’s diagnostician if you have questions about not understanding something in your ARD paperwork. I suggested that they do this presentation yearly and for those with kiddos in PPCD/Elementary school for sure should attend (since you have numerous years ahead of you) – great information. There was a brief discussion on Accommodations vs Modifications in an ARD – this YouTube video (under 2 mins) was going to be presented but there was no sound on the presentation platform.  Please do further research on the differences to make sure that your child is receiving what they need.

I’ve seen so many improvements in me and Tyler since adding the Methylcare B vitamin from the doctor – she said, that was all I needed to change, that I could keep with Young Living vitamin and supplement regimen for us both that this B vitamin (since he has the mutation)  – will help with absorption of all the other things I was taking and giving him and that I should see improvement. Only Tyler’s been tested and I used myself as a guinea pig after his results came back – I feel confident he inherited from me, since I feel so much better.

Dental & Vision & Making Choices

Dental appt went good this morning(still no cavities, stains (been 5 years on the stains which are beginning of cavities) have not worsen & dentist cooperates with no fluoride treatments). Been fluoride free for 5 years using YL oral products!  Dentist said brushing score was an 80.

Then we went to pick out frames for his glasses. That was a chore and his glasses should be here next week.  Had him pick out 3 frames, then had him try them on in different order, then I had him pick out 2, again tried on in different orders, then had him pick out 1.  Had him go back and forth a few times to get the same answer.   From the words, my nose, I believe he likes the way these frames fit on his nose.  Other ones were like sun glass one entire frame – and I think they were not as comfortable.  Letting him make decisions for his glasses. I am not sure I would’ve picked these, they look great and he likes them, and he is the one that has to wear them.

It was a very productive day, taking care of Tyler’s health!
